Here at Los Osos High School Track and Field, we offer a unique and valuable experience for all athletes. However, interested athletes and their guardians often have questions. When do practices start?
Practices for the 2025 season are yet to be determined; however, they will most likely start in August. When practices begin, join us Monday to Thursday on the track and ready to run by 3:30. Join the Remind on the Remind app with the code @lososost or text the code to 81010.

What do I need to do to join Track & Field?
There are no tryouts for Track & Field but you need an approved physical uploaded to Home Campus. Prior experience is not required. Just bring yourself and a pair of running shoes.

Does Track & Field require a major time commitment?
Yes, Track & Field requires a time commitment. In order to attain results in Track & Field, an athlete must put in the work needed. At LOHS Track & Field, our athletes are expected to be at most practices and attend all possible meets. Doing this ensures the success of each individual athlete and the team as a whole.

Are there any summer practices?
Summer practices for 2024 will be announced via Remind.

Can I join Track & Field second semester?
It is strongly recommended to join for conditioning practices as early in first semester as you can. If you are involved in another sport that makes you unable to attend during first semester then join as soon as your season allows.
